Americas Got Talent Audition

Today was my Americas Got Talent Audition. Pretty simple and actually feels pretty anti-climactic LOL! I’ve been so excited for this chance that in reality it’s just a chance to showcase my talents and put my fate in lady lucks hands :). I’m still optimistic solely because i gave it my all. I did the research as the talent scouts asked and i found a top 40 song and sang my heart out. Thats pretty much all i can do so i have NO REGRETS!

So from here we wait. They dont tell us we we get on the show unless you get on the show and wait will take up to 2 weeks or so.

Today i went down to Palace Station Casino for my 11am audition. Showed up early and got to go on early too :). Walked in the room with just a camera man, sound guy, and a couple people siting at the back of the room. I was pretty blinded by the spot light hey had in there and they had a mic set up for a stand up comic and thas mostly because it was in Bonkers Comedy club haha. Anyways, so no mic for the Ukulele but its all good cause i was planning on singing my heart out anyways. So i looked in the camera, stated my name, age, blah blah blah and what i was going to sing. Sang “Hey Soul Sister” by Train. I said “thank you” at the end of my song and exited stage right :). So it was pretty strange in that it was not set up for a musician, no amps etc, and didnt feel like a show at all(the no applause didnt help that either haha). The lack of feedback is what really makes it feel kind of odd.

All in all it was a good time. DEFINITELY a chance worth stepping in to. you never know unless you try kind of moments. I feel the same as i did last year when i tried out for American Idol. Very content and knowing that even though they could or could not pick me that i do have talent and what ever decision comes of this I will NOT stop making music.

Keep your fingers crossed guys cause a chance to be on a show like this would mean a lot. For now i’m back to the day to day grind of being a musician.
